The cost of a concrete shed or garage slab in Western Sydney can vary significantly depending on the size, design, and site conditions.
Unlike smaller jobs like patios, shed and garage slabs can range from small garden shed bases right through to large garages and farm sheds, which creates a wide variation in cost.
Every slab is custom-built based on the structure going on top, the ground conditions, and the access to the site.
Why This Guide Is Different
This guide is based on real-world experience installing shed and garage slabs across Western Sydney.
Important Note on Pricing

What Affects the Cost
Type of Structure
- Small garden sheds are basic with no engineering drawings.
- Larger sheds and garages often require engineered slabs, footings, beams or piers. Size of the Slab
- Small shed: 10–20m²
- Single garage: 20–30m²
- Double garage: 30–50m²+
- Large sheds: 100m²+
- Large farm sheds: 200m², 300m², even 500m² or more
Excavation & Site Preparation
$500 to $3,000+
Access
Tight access increases labour and cost.
Concrete Pumping
$1,200 to $2,000 per pour
Engineering Requirements
Footings, beams, piers and reinforcement can significantly increase cost.
Slabs must be level, and sloping ground increases work required.
